About the DRAKEN

Draken

Sea Scout Ship 818 was founded in August 2018 and chartered on October 28, 2018 within the National Capital Area Council. The name Draken was selected by the founding youth members from inspiration of the modern-day Viking ship, Draken Harald Hårfagre.

Chartered Organization

Ship 818 is proudly chartered by the Belle Haven Marina of Alexandria, Virginia, located just South of historic Old Town Alexandria.
